Information you send
When you send a custom-work inquiry, we save your email address and the project details you provide, including your starting point, purpose, style and requested timing. The record also includes a case reference, status and timestamps. We use this information to review your inquiry and discuss the project with you.
When you join a GearForge interest list, we save your email address, the list you joined, your selected product interest and a submission timestamp. We use these details to manage the updates you requested.
Please keep sensitive personal information out of project descriptions. Viewing the recorded laser tests or downloading the free Proof Card does not require sending us an email address.
Your browser draft
The custom-work form can save project notes in this browser tab while you work. It does not save your email address in that draft. The draft is cleared after a successful submission, and you can clear it using the form’s draft controls.
Hosting and connected services
Website form records are stored in Cloudflare D1 through our managed Sites hosting. Hosting and security services may process technical request information to deliver and protect the websites.
Some pages load product images from Etsy and fonts from Google Fonts. Those services receive requests from your browser when those resources load. Links to Etsy, GearForge Studio and other services open separate services; this page does not describe information you enter there.
Storage and removal
These website forms do not automatically delete submitted records after a fixed number of days. The exact retention settings for hosting logs, recovery copies and any additional provider copies have not been confirmed. We do not promise removal from every copy within a fixed period.
You can email us to ask about information you sent, request a correction or removal, or ask to stop GearForge updates. Include the email address you used and a relevant case reference if you have one. For removal, tell us which information your request covers. Please do not send identity documents in your first message.
Stopping updates and removing stored information are separate requests. Sending an email does not itself erase a stored record.
